1. After all my awesome classes I went to the career center to get my resume, and cover letter critiqued. I also finished 5 job applications the past two weeks and used other resources to enhance my growth in professionalism.
2. I feel more in control of a lot of my classes, I know exactly what I need to do, not the only thing is finding a way to get it all done without being so exhausted.
3. Health and Wellness meeting was great. We planned for tabling tomorrow, which I'm very excited for, planned when I am going to take the tests to be an official specialist, and confirmed about 3 workshops for me to shadow this month. I'm very excited for what this program has to offer me in the future. I have my interview for the San Cat Satelite position tomorrow also.
3 Good Things: Happiness Depends Upon Ourselves
PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK ME WHY & HOW I'M SO OPTIMISTIC.... "Three Good Things" is a ["happy-vention"] that positive psychologists show to reduce depressive symptoms and increase positive emotions, which produce several health benefits, and despite any circumstances, lead to increased happiness. Why complain when you can write 3 good things a day that you're happy and grateful for?... Because happiness depends on ourselves :) Inspired by Health & Wellness
Everyone always asks me why and how I am so optimistic?!.....

1. I woke up and had breakfast with my Nina and Nana, they are the best wives and mother i know. ( besides my own) It was nice to catch up with them and play Wii with my little cousins. I missed the Mario Brothers and all my little brothers.
2. I opened all my Christmas presents from when I was at Colorado. They were all lovely and I was so grateful.
3. My dad fixed my new bike for UCSB. I absolutely love it, it's so cute and accessorized now I just need to worry about it getting stolen. I spent a lot of time with my dad today and memorized a lot of what I was supposed to from my writings.

NEW YEAR; Close family/ friends; Music; Mentorships
1. It is a new year and I am ready to take over the world. I couldn't have asked for a better start. I have already started my extensive planner and calendar for Winter quarter and I am beyond ready for success! (Cheesy I know)
2. I downloaded a lot of music that has been on my list of things to do for some time now. I realized how much I love The Fray, Coldplay, and The Script.
3. I visited my best friend Christopher and his family, then spent the entire night with my dad. Family and close friends are who matter most. I'm glad I can have a friend who cares for me and will always be there for me without the complications or emotions of a relationship.
4. I received two new emails from Upward Bound high school student asking for my help with college admission and scholarship essays. It really brings me so much satisfaction to see students out an extra effort to these things and makes me flattered that they continue to ask for my help. This would be great practice for becoming an RA or an EOP Mentor. I look forward to fostering more mentorships with students who resemble my socio-economic disadvantaged background to help them reach their full potential.
*Although my day was not as productive as I had hoped it would be I wrote down goals for tomorrow hopeful that they will be completed if I chose to make it happen. Life is good :)

Romance, Denver, White Christmas,

1. I am currently experiencing my fist White Christmas. The plane over to Denver Colorado I sat next to a 22 year old soldier on his way to Florida to Afghanistan, nervously holding the engagement ring for his girlfriend. Her, or any of his relatives knew he was on his way home. Romance does exist. We talked most of the plane ride over about life and war.
2. Downtown Denver is absolutely beautiful and I went ice skating for the first time! This happened because I'm always trying to do something new.
3. We have visit4ed and met family that I haven't seen is years. They are all very interested to hear about college and where I am in life and I am proud to tell them :)
1. The last few days I spent in Colorado were spent well with family and friends I hadn't caught up with in quite some time. This happened because I appreciate the relationships in my life.
2. Me and my best friend Chris de Ronde have been having a ton of fun in the little city of San Jacinto. We watched a ton of movies, stayed up late, ate good food and got slurpees at 2:00 am. Life is good.
3. I went shopping and got so many good deals on winter clothing. I even got an all yellow and an all red trench- type of . Two coats that I have been wanting for a very long time. This happened because I work hard for my money.

Yoga, Coffee, and Living Healthier

1. In an effort to be more healthy, today I had delicious caramel coffee ( with no sugar ) and have had only one cup of juice in almost two weeks. I have been drinking so much more water lately, (with absolutely no soda) and feel better already.
2. I read "Yoga Therapy for Overcoming Insomnia" a book I have been wanting to read for quite some time; got me even more inspired to take care of my body as best as I can and to live as holistically and peacefully as I can as well.
3. I slept in, and rested all day. I've wanted to spend a few days like this for such a long time & I realized I am caught up on my rest by now and am ready to have more eventful days so I started a detailed list of things I want to get done and things I want to try to go in effect tomorrow! :)
